GOODNIGHT PRINCESS

On a pedestal did I place you,
Up high for all the world to view.
What a wonderful gift~
God had given me
with you always did I want to be.
You the princess~I the prince.
A fairy tale we would live
happily everafter.
But our time together
went too quick
your life extinguished like a
flame from a candle wick.
And with sorrow in my heart;
I realize that for now we must part
and with a kiss on the cheek...
